Looking Forward to Wedding Season

Updated: Mar 18, 2022

Looking Forward and Getting Ready

For Wedding Season 2021!

Wedding season may look a little different this year, but there’s no doubt that couples are opting not to delay their engagements any longer. More people are choosing to downsize their guestlist for a safer, more intimate experience, and many couples are choosing to elope altogether for a unique destination wedding. In any case, we all know that photographers are among the first vendors to be booked, and documenting this milestone has never been more meaningful. We’re looking up as we hope your schedule is booking up, and we’re here for you as you prepare for the season 2021. Read on for insight from Collin Pierson.

Strong Perspective from Collin Pierson

"Because many couples signed in 2019 and early 2020 have postponed wedding dates to 2021 and 2022, my revenue (and all wedding photography revenue) has seen a huge decrease. This means social media, staying relevant with shoots, and taking the time to really hone our skills not only as photographers, but as business leaders is so important.

Don’t give up. Be respectful, and be a champion for our industry. Working with your clients to find new plans, render services, and find unique ways to present opportunities will go so much further in the long run than the inclination to charge fees, making a stink about clients moving dates, and letting anxiety take over. Kindness and positivity will benefit business - both in the referrals you get down the road, and with the creative partners you are working with!

I send out email blasts to all my previous clients who are on my gallery system, Pic-Time, which allows me to keep a revenue stream going with print and product orders from Bay Photo and my other vendors.

There is a big difference between working in your business and working on your business. The ease of workflow and product opportunities that Bay Photo has provided to my clients has really helped me work on the latter! I love that I can hop on the phone, call their support team, and get the answers I need in an easy & effective manner. The fact that Bay Photo has continued to innovate, even while being a long-standing company in this industry, speaks to the dedication of their team." - Collin Pierson
