Being a Professional Surf Photographer, Dave "Nelly" Nelson has the good fortune of spending time shooting the best surfers in the world in one of the most beautiful places in the world - Oahu's North Shore. In this episode of "You Got Nelly'd", he surprises North Shore local, big wave charger, and Pipeline extraordinaire, Koa Rothman. Episode 4: Landon McNamara
Landon McNamara, who grew up at Rocky Point on Oahu's North Shore, is a Pipeline charger, son of a North Shore legend, full time musician, full time dad and friend of professional surf photographer, Dave "Nelly" Nelson. Episode 5: Kai Lenny
Hailing from Paia, Hawaii, Kai Lenny is the true definition of a waterman. From surfing small waves to huge waves, windsurfing to kiting, stand up paddle boards to foils, Kai does it all. It's only fitting that when Dave "Nelly" Nelson recounts one of his all time favorite shots it is of Kai surfing an absolute bomb at Mavericks. As pro photographer, Dave "Nelly" Nelson continues reconnecting with friends and icons he's photographed through the years, we're learning one thing is true - that MetalPrints bring people together! You may know of John Feldmann (aka "Feldy") from the ska/punk band, Goldfinger. He's a renowned musician, songwriter, singer and record producer based in Los Angeles, CA. Watch as Nelly delivers a Bay Photo MetalPrint displaying Feldy in one of his "Superman" moments, performing live at the Vans Warped Tour. They share some bonus memories about backyard hangouts with drained pools ready to skate, and jammin' at high school parties in the 80s.
