Museum Classic Frames: Masterpieces in the Making

Museum Classic Frames

Masterpieces In The Making

Museum Classic Frames are the newest additions to our expansive Framed Prints catalog. They are distinguished by their ultra high end presentation as well as their specialized construction. Exuding a regal and radiant style, these gold-leafed beauties are reminiscent of a painterly renaissance masterpiece that you might find in a museum (hence the name!). Museum Classics lend well to photography of all kinds, including fine art, glamour, wedding, maternity, family, travel, pets, and more. Let’s dive into the charming details of Museum Classics.

First, let’s quickly jump back in history. Ancient Egyptians believed that gold was the color of the gods, and we have them to thank for innovating the craft of gilding. It’s no wonder this process has carried on through the centuries and across the globe, as gold leafing instantly elevates a work of art into a timeless masterpiece. This might be why photographers choose the Museum Classic Frame around a glamorous portrait - to bring out the inner god or goddess of their client and really make them shine. ✨

Our Museum Classic Frames are available in two styles: Florentine and American. They are historically accurate in appearance, which will have viewers asking if it’s an authentic antique or a masterful replica. Each piece is built from scratch by master craftspeople with decades of experience, and the gold leafing is imported from Germany and Italy to ensure the best quality available. Most contemporary frames are assembled by joining four sides together, however each individually built Museum Classic frame has closed corners with no visible seams. The gold leaf and hand-antiqued patina finish create the impressively elegant and rich look and feel of a museum masterpiece.

Museum Classic Frames are available with Fine Art Canvas or Photographic Canvas. Each Canvas Board is rigid to the touch, and displays the traditional canvas texture that adds a fine art painterly effect to your images.

Getting back to the effects of such a shimmery, golden way to finish a photograph, Museum Classic Frames not only embellish a beautiful portrait but also embolden the client when they see its final presentation unveiled. We’ve seen a resurgence of traditional and ornate frames in the photography community.

Our talented friend and renowned educator, Sue Bryce is no stranger to ornate frames, and she prefers them for her work for good reason. She’s demonstrated how choosing such a decadent and elevated display for an image can reflect the same transformative experience of the session itself. Museum Classic Frames are a great choice for photographers wanting to offer masterpiece presentations that will sell themselves and be celebrated for generations.

“I love Framed Portraits because a frame adds the finishing touch to beautiful art. No matter what sort of picture I am creating; modern or classic, there's a frame that can complete it precisely.”
