The Pros of Premium Canvas Wraps

Clients seek out a professional photographer for images that are stunning, long-lasting, and unique. These same parameters apply to the printed pieces you offer them, too! One particular product we recommend that checks off all the boxes in your client’s mind – beauty, longevity, and uniqueness – is the Premium Canvas Wrap. Scroll on to learn why.

Beauty springs from a solid foundation of quality and craftsmanship.

As a photographer, you want your clients to enjoy their images in the best possible way. So we treat each Premium Canvas Wrap like a masterpiece. We start with a 15.8 oz heavyweight poly-cotton coated canvas that is specially crafted to be flexible for stretching, yet maintain its integrity without tearing or cracking. We print directly on the canvas using high-resolution printers and 12-color inks to achieve a wide spectrum of hues, tones, and shades. We use aqueous pigmented inks to achieve color that is richer and deeper than solvent-based inks.

Once printed, the canvas is then wrapped over wooden artist stretcher bars by our expert technicians so there’s no skewing and bowing. The bars come in 3 depths and are cut-to-order. We stretch our canvases with just the right amount of tension so the canvas face is pliant yet firm. The highest quality canvas can only be achieved through this level of expert craftsmanship.

“For wall-sized portraits my favorite go-to is Canvas Wraps. Printing my work as Canvas truly displays it as the fine art that I feel it is AND gives my clients an heirloom feel that their wedding and family portraits deserve! ALL of my wedding and family portrait packages include Bay Photo Canvas Wraps for this very reason.”
- Janice Rumsey

Built (and shipped) to last.

As an investment, your clients want to enjoy their printed images for a very long time. That’s why, in addition to using archival canvas and inks, Bay Premium Canvas Wraps are treated with either a Glossy or Lustre laminate for added UV protection.

Each Premium Canvas Wrap passes multiple quality checkpoints, from when the order is received to final shipment. Often overlooked, high-quality packaging is just as important as top-notch printing. Our innovative boxing system is designed to protect your Canvas from bumps and dings and get it pristinely to your studio, your client’s home, or the gallery.

When the print arrives, clients want a finished piece they can display right out of the box. Our Premium Canvas Wraps can be finished with a frame or without. In your choice of 12 frames styles, our 1.5”-deep canvas wraps are mounted with a space between the print and frame. This gives the illusion of the canvas floating within the frame and adds a hint of drama to the piece. Alternatively, if your client prefers a simpler look, Premium Canvas Wraps can be left unframed with the side borders exposed. Choose from 5 border wraps and opt to finish the back with black paper backing and a sawtooth hanger.

Show your hand(writing) in the work.

As a photographer you want to be sure the final print is a solid reflection of your unique style. In that same vein, every client needs to be reminded that their printed piece is special and specific to them. There’s no better way to convey this rarity than through a signed piece of artwork. With our Signature Pen Service, you can add this custom touch to any Premium Canvas Wrap.
